Help Mr. Wiggles

Meet Mr. Wiggles! Mr. Wiggles is one of our special needs kitties who was recently rescued from Collier County Domestic Animal Services after Hurricane Irma. He has a condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia. This is a non-painful, non-progressive, non-contagious, neurological condition that makes it impossible for him to walk normally.

It is the result of a viral infection in utero that causes a decreased formation of the portion of the brain responsible for movement. This is a lifetime condition that does not typically result in significant extra medical costs, a shortened life expectancy, or a decreased quality of life.

Despite his disability, Mr. Wiggles is a very playful and sweet kitty that would do best in a single story, indoor only environment with a low-sided litter box. If you are interested in giving Mr. Wiggles a loving, furever home, please feel free to come visit him and his roommate Teal at the main shelter location.

Mr. Wiggles is a member of our Cozy Care Cat Club. Founded by volunteers, the donor-based fund includes the following special perks for Mr. Wiggles: returned adoption fee after 30 days, health & wellness certificate for $500 (only good for use at our HSN Veterinary Clinic) and a welcome home package full of goodies.
