Humane Society Naples Names Truog Interim Executive Director

Naples, FL – August 1, 2017 – Humane Society Naples is pleased to announce that William “Bill” R. Truog has been named interim executive director.

Truog most recently served as the senior advancement officer for gifts and estate planning at Kent State University. Prior to that he served as president & CEO of Duracote Corporation. He earned a PhD in philosophy (organizational communication) and a master’s degree in business administration (management) from Ohio University; a bachelor’s degree in business from Hillsdale College and president of the student body. Troug’s activities consist of director for Bank One in Ravenna Ohio, member of the Akron Regional Development Board, trustee, Robinson Memorial Hospital Foundation and member of Young Presidents Organization.

“Humane Society Naples’ board of directors is confident that Bill’s career in management coupled with his extensive education and fundraising experience will help us strengthen and lead the organization while we continue our national search for our permanent executive director,” said Kevin Deardorff, president of Humane Society Naples’ board of directors.
