When Executive Director Michael Simonik announced his retirement, the Board of Directors of Humane Society Naples wanted to show Michael how much his leadership, dedication and passion meant to them, and, ultimately, meant to the animals that came through our doors.
The board hosted a tribute dinner for Michael at the Naples Yacht Club and surprised him with a video presentation that they had commissioned. The video encapsulates the many accomplishments he has made on behalf of the homeless pets of Collier County and echoes the sentiments of those of us who have worked with him.
We wish Michael the very best in the future and will continue to carry on the legacy of excellent animal stewardship that he has established at HSN. We, and the animals, will miss him very much.
