Rescue Recess

Are you looking for a walking buddy? Well, come on over to Humane Society Naples and join our Rescue Recess team! Whether you are heading downtown or to one of our amazing local walking trails, our dogs want to join you.

Rescue Recess is a program that lets our adult dogs take the morning off from their kennel and spend some time outside of the shelter. It is so beneficial for our dogs to get out for a few hours to burn off some energy and be seen outside of the shelter. It is also a great way for you to be a part of Humane Society Naples, even if you don’t have a lot of time to volunteer.

Come over to the HSN Main Shelter or the von Arx Adoption Center and our staff will pair you with the perfect Rescue Recess companion.

It’s easy – just follow these steps:

  • When:
    • Monday-Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm
    • Saturday-Sunday, 8:30 – 11:00am
  • Where: HSN Main Shelter or von Arx Adoption Center
  • How: Check in at the front desk

Humane Society Naples will provide a collar, leash and a backpack of adventure supplies which include an Adopt-Me doggie vest, water and a bowl, treats, poop-bags and a list of dog-friendly spots in Naples.

Rescue Recess participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian who is at least 18 years old.

When you return, we ask that you send us photos of your outing and share your experiences to help us find your recess pal a forever family. Photos can be sent via email to media@hsnaples.org or posted to social media using #RescueRecess.
