Press Release

Special Christmas Delivery for Shelter Pets

(Naples, FL – December 12, 2017) – Humane Society Naples is pleased to announce Operation: Home for the Holidays, a special Christmas delivery service!

Santa will trade in his sleigh for the HSN Paws Around Town adoption bus, so that he can deliver pets to their furever homes on Christmas. Pre-adopt any shelter pet during the week of December 14 – December 21 with the option of a special home delivery on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning. (Additional fees and restrictions apply)

If you are ready to share your home with the perfect pet, we’ll hold him or her until Santa, Mrs. Claus and all the Elves are ready to deliver your new furry family member directly to you. Once you are approved for adoption, you can certainly take your pet home, but the HSN Holiday Crew would sure miss seeing all the joy on your faces!

To those giving pets to a loved one follow HSN’s standard adoption process – visit and select an animal for the lucky recipient. This is followed by a short adoption application and a conversation about pet experience and expectations. Once the animal is selected, a note is made in the HSN database with a delivery time, location and the giver’s contact info in case scheduling conflicts arise. On delivery day Santa, Mrs. Claus and their Elves will get dressed, load the animals, drive to each location and spend 30 minutes there.

Certain restrictions apply to be sure the animal finds the right home. Only approved adopters can take home an animal and you cannot have an animal delivered to a household other than your own. Deliveries made by the HSN Holiday Crew will be limited to a 20-mile radius.
