It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
I have to confess we made quite a few people cry this holiday season. Santa and his helpers delivered a lucky handful of recent #HSNAlumni to their new homes, and people were so touched. It really made me think about what a meaningful moment it is to welcome a new dog or cat into your home, and the changes that moment makes to the course of our lives.
Sharing your life with animals requires a wide-open heart and a huge leap of faith. They draw us in and capture us in a way that defies words. They make us laugh. They make us cry. They inspire us to make new choices about things like how we take vacations and where we live. They take a place in our hearts that lasts long after they leave us.
It feels like such a privilege to be able to help people make these life-altering additions to their lives. But the even greater privilege is getting to say “yes” to as many animals in need of help as we possibly can. I am inspired by each new story and snuggle.
